Mundo Clave
The ensemble was formed 2005 soon after our first meet with co-founders Dan Sieber (vibraphonist) and Rich Barbera (violinist). These two voices in conjunction with our trumpet and montuno pianist have become our signature sound. Now... add to this great mix a brilliant, seasoned group of percussionists and we have “magic in the house”.

Whether in 2-3 or 3-2, the Afro-clave is the heartbeat of the Latin Jazz feel, “the happiest grooving heartbeat” in New York City.

We follow in the steps of such great musicians as: Cal Tjader, Mongo Santamaria, Dizzy Gillespie, Ray Barretto, Arturo Sandoval, Eddie Palmieri, Dave Valentin, Paquito D’Rivera, Poncho Sanchez, Ray Vega, Jerry Gonzalez, just to name a few since the list is endless.
