Ryan Belleville
Ryan then moved to Toronto and branched out into stand-up comedy. In only a few short years he has become one of the hottest stand-up comics in Canada. Ryan's stock continues to rise since he is also an accomplished actor and writer. He has gained much attention in Hollywood from casting directors, studios and networks alike. He taped his first US pilot as a guest starring role for Fox's Related By Family, which will also be airing on CTV this coming season, and recently shot a Movie of the Week in New Orleans called Stuck in the Suburbs for the Disney Channel. Ryan has earned a Canadian Comedy Award and The Phil Hartman Award, for outstanding young comics in Canada, and was nominated for the Tim Sims Encouragement Fund Award in 2001, a prestigious award for outstanding emerging comedic talent in Toronto. Ryan has also had his own episode of Comedy NOW! on CTV/The Comedy Network, making him the youngest comic in Canada to tape one. Ryan appeared in the pilot of What the Canuck?, an improv TV show and has been a series regular in the ground-breaking CBC sitcom, The Seán Cullen Show. Ryan was a hit at 2002's Chicago Comedy Festival and at Just for Laughs 2003 in the New Faces of Comedy. In 2003 Ryan also shot a lead role in MuchMusic's feature Going The Distance as well as making appearances on CBS' The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn and Toronto 1's The Toronto Show. In the summer of 2004 Ryan will be returning to Montreal for the Just For Laughs Festival where he will star in his own Gala performace.
