A native of Germany, Hermann Simon is the author of numerous books on business strategy, marketing, pricing, and global competition, including Hidden Champions: Lessons from 500 of the World's Best Unknown Companies and Power Pricing: How Managing Price Transforms the Bottom Line. He heads an international strategy and marketing consulting firm with offices in both Germany and the U.S. and is a visiting professor at the London Business School. His articles and books have been published in 15 languages and he has served on the editorial boards of many management, marketing, and scientific journals. As a member of the supervisory boards of trustees for numerous corporations and foundations, Simon has gained wide experience in corporate governance. He has been a consultant to major corporations throughout the world like Siemens, Mercedes-Benz, General Motors, Hewlett Packard, Glaxo-Wellcome, Kodak, and Shell.
