At the 2003 East Coast Music Awards Gallant once again walked off with multiple awards including: Male Artist of the Year and Francophone Recording of the Year for Le vent bohème. Gallant has taken things a step further with the recent release of his 6th album, Le vent bohème. Gallant has re-embranced his Acadian roots and recorded the album entirely in French. Le vent bohème is already seen as a milestone for both Gallant and Acadian music.
'It's an absolutely wonderful CD (Le vent bohème), the lyrics are powerful and the music is sensational'
Bernard St. Laurent - C'EST LA VIE, CBC Radio
Gallant’s dedication and craftsmanship as a songwriter has resulted in two Juno nominations and thirteen East Coast Music Awards. In addition to the songs on his six albums, he has written many (in French and English) for other artists, theatre productions, feature films, and other projects.
As an entertainer, Gallant's intense emotional delivery reaches down to the very soul of this audience, moving effortlessly through stirring narratives, comic observations and hard driving rhythms.
'We’ve been used to welcoming visitors from Canada’s east coast in recent years. The biggest impression of all, though, could be the one Lennie Gallant makes when word about him reaches beyond the dedicated seekers of transatlantic talent who investigated this Scottish debut.'
