When Jeffrey Ross performs, your audience doesnıt giggle, they are in stitches. His killer spots on practically every late night program and his show-stopping performances at the Friars Club Roasts have ensured Jeffreyıs permanent place in the comedy history books. Jeffrey was instrumental in bringing the annual Friars Roasts to Comedy Central which have been that networkıs highest rated broadcast three years in a row. Jeffreyıs experiences producing and performing at the roasts were recently featured in New Yorker and Rolling Stone Magazines. Jeffreyıs Friar Roasts include Steven Seagal, Drew Carey, Jerry Stiller and, most recently, Rob Reiner. Currently Jeffrey can be seen in the Robert DeNiro film The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and starring in the award winning short Karaoke Knight, which airs internationally on Showtime. Jeffrey was a writer for the Year 2000 Academy Awards and has written for many other TV shows including The Man Show currently in itıs second season on Comedy Central. Jeffreyıs dozens of television appearances include Letterman, Leno, Conan, Kilborne, Politically Incorrect, The View, MTV Spring Break, VH1ıs The List, and The Daily Show (where he was one of the original correspondents). Jeffrey guest-hosted NBCıs Later and hosted Comedy Centralıs alternative variety series, Tompkins Square. Jeffreyıs two solo stand-up specials, Lounge Lizards and Pulp Comics - both aired on Comedy Central. (Michelle Greppi of The New York Post gave Jeffıs episode of Pulp Comics three and a half stars out of a possible four). In 1998 Jeff won both the MAC Award (Manhattan Association of Cabaret Artists) award and the Backstage Magazine Bistro Award for "Best Male Comedian". Jeffrey has performed at both the Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival and HBOıs Aspen Comedy Festival -- and at dozens of benefits every year including the annual Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon. Jeffrey Ross is one of the most versatile stand-up comedians working today proof being that he once performed at the The Apollo Theater, Yale Law School, a Friarıs Roast, and a corporate trade show in Las Vegas all in the same month. Jeffrey comes from a family of caterers in New Jersey. He graduated Boston University with a degree in Broadcasting & Film. He currently resides in both New York City and Los Angeles. He has no wife, children, pets, plants, or silverware. His favorite restaurant is and always will be -- White Castle.
