Loretta Soqui
Loretta Soqui has been performing since the tender age of five years old. Performing has always been second nature for Loretta. Some of her most influential performers are Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye, Roberto Carlos, Rocio Durcal, Mariah Carey, Gladys Knight and Lauryn Hill. One of Loretta’s first experiences with performing was at a night club with her father, the drummer of the famous regional Mexican music band, Los Aragon. By the age of eight she was vocally arranging her own songs and choreographing dance moves for the various neighborhood singing groups she had created.

In 1991 at age Fifteen, Loretta joined the teen girl group, First Faze. With the group, Loretta began touring the United States, performing at a variety of schools, dance clubs, festivals and showcases. While performing with First Faze, Loretta was approached by Bob Keane, who has worked with legendary artists such as, Sam Cooke and Richie Valens. Mr. Keane offered her a solo record deal with Delphi Records; however, her loyalty to First Faze was ultimately the reason she did not sign with Delphi. In 1992 First Faze signed a management deal with renowned music industry executive Steven Machat and a recording contract with ID Records. Loretta was able to put her vast music experience to use while in the recording studio. During recording, she was one of the lead singers, vocal coach, and major contributor. After the release of their first album First Faze toured the United States promoting their creation. The band was featured in The Los Angeles Times, Daily News, La Opinion, T.V. Y Novelas as well as various television shows. After the disbanding of First Faze in 1994, Loretta decided to dedicate her musical efforts to her career as a solo artist. She also enrolled at Glendale Community College as a music major. At this time Loretta beniffited from the formal music training and grew as an artist.

After hearing Loretta sing in Los Angeles, German club owner, Karl Krause, asked her to perform at his establishments. Loretta accepted the challenge and flew to Dusseldorf, Germany, where she spent 2 years performing and fine-tuning her solo career. Loretta returned from Germany in 2006 and immediately began working with several artists, assisting in harmonizing and vocally arranging songs. She was introduced to producer, Robert Riekeberg, who immediately asked her to come back to the studios and record her own original material. The duo devoted every waking hour to writing and producing her first solo album. In 2008 Loretta wrote, vocally arranged, co-produced and released her first solo album titled “I Believe", which is available online at iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody & Napster.

Today Loretta splits her time between Los Angeles and Germany, performing at night clubs such as Whisky a Go-Go and The Rainbow Room as well as busking on the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. She is working on a new album, titled "The Acoustic Sessions", to be released November, 2016.
