Shalini Varghese
Born and raised in the deserts of Palm Springs, California, Shalini Varghese has captivated her audience with sweet sounding vocals and riveting melodies since she was three-years old. Singing straight from her soul, Shalini demonstrated an aptitude for singing and performing at this very young age by mimicking Paul Young, Michael Jackson, and Tina Turner.

She delivered her first live, on-stage performance as Ariel in ‘The Little Mermaid’ at the age of seven. By age of fourteen, Shalini was already an experienced vocalist and performed in multiple choral and stage productions. Her versatility in musical genres span from jazz and R&B to traditional Indian and classical, with vocal sensibilities of Amy Winehouse, Aaliyah, and Beyonce.

Shalini placed first in a vocal competition for her rendition of "On my Own," from the musical Les Miserables and was a finalist in a National Broadway competition called "Wanna Be in Rent". Shalini was also granted the great honor of singing the National Anthem and Whitney Houston’s, "Greatest Love" at a charity event in front of dignitaries the likes of Secretary of State Colin Powell, Congresswoman Mary Bono, and former President George Bush.

Currently, Shalini has made an impact on the music scene of Los Angeles, and is a prominent in-demand performing artist. She has lit up the stage at hot venues all over LA and Hollywood, including the Key Club, Cinespace, House of Blues, The Federal, and Sofitel . She has also appeared on international and domestic radio shows.

Her latest musical release is an original EDM (Electronic Dance Music) four-track EP called “The Way it Feels.” The album was produced by Raffaello Bonaga and Lorenzo Ciampa from Italy and released by Grooveboy music, a label based in Dublin, Ireland. Shalini also has her B.S. in Chemistry from UC Berkeley, and when she is not singing or performing, she is working hard providing Ion Chromatographs to Analytical Chemistry Labs. While she has a deep appreciation for the sciences, her passion lies within performing and creating great music!
