CUICANI
Cuicani is a collective of musicians paying homage to Afro-Caribbean & world music through the inspiration and influences of their metropolis home in Los Angeles. The music of Cuicani features the talented Mavens singers who provide rich vocal harmonies and former Umoverde front man, Tony Sauza on lead vocals and guitar. With influences ranging from reggae to timba, ska to Cuban Son, rock steady to cumbia and Afro-Beat, Cuicani joins the rich Los Angeles collection of groups who have blended and fused various styles to create an original and distinct sound. Formed as recently as November of 2012, Cuicani is looking forward to sharing their music throughout the United States and beyond!
