Steven CheraSteven Chera
Brooklyn-born Steven Chera spent his early years listening to and studying music legends like Elvis Presley, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and Bobby Darin.

He started to perform at the age of 13, and has never stopped pursuing his music alongside his responsibilities to his family’s retail business.

Though he has been singing since he was a teen, Steven Chera only started pursuing music as more than a hobby in 2005. He has been collaborating with the Bob Kaye Trio, with Bob Kaye on piano, Eddie Cacavalli on drums and Lew Scott on upright bass.

Known for taking American Songbook classics from the ’20s to the ’40s and Golden Oldies & Rock n’ Roll from the ’50 through the ’70s and interpreting them in his own, quintessential New York style.

Chera has delighted audiences at the Metropolitan Room, Don’t Tell Mama, Swing 46, the Refinery Hotel in New York City, Spago in Las Vegas, Hyatt Hotels, and many other venues throughout the country.

Following last year’s releases of In The Key of Jazz: A Tribute to The Beatles, out last July and Smile, released last October, Chera announces the release of his 4th studio album: My Tribute to The King, comprised entirely of his take on Elvis classics. Chera has been honing his Elvis impression to perfection from an early age, and it shows in “I Want You, I Need You, I Love You”. The self taught singer reaches the song’s peak as he croons, “But now I know that I will go on loving you eternally” effortlessly emulating the King while infusing his own brand of charisma.

Be sure to check out Steven and his 4 studio albums on all digital distribution sites. Hope to see you at the next show!
