The Rave-OnsThe Rave-Ons
Buddy Holly and the Crickets were one of the most influential rock and roll gorups to ever exist. Founded in 1957, Buddy & The Crickets have inspired virtually every major rock & roll performer, including great artists such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, and countless others. The Rave-Ons are a fresh take on this great music, bringing youthful energy and talent that cannot be matched, while also staying true to Buddy's original style. They perform classic hits like That'll Be The Day, Peggy Sue, It's So Easy, Oh Boy, and Rave On to keep the music and spirit of their favorite rock & roll icon alive.

The Rave-Ons formed in 2009 while performing together in a production of the hit musical, BUDDY: THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY in Reno. They've played all over the USA rocking audiences with tribute concerts in Florida, New York, New Jersy, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Illinois, Tennessee, Missouri, Arizona, and Colorado. Though the Rave-Ons specialize in playing the great music of Buddy Holly, they also offer a wide range of 50's rockabilly classics including songs by Elvis Presley, Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent, Bill Haley & The Comets, Little Richard, Carl Perkins, and many others.

The Rave-Ons are led by Todd Meredith, who has been performing as Buddy Holly for the last four years in concerts and numerous productions of the musical. He's joined by Bill Morey on the upright bass, Joe Cosmo Cogen on drums, and Jeremy Renner on electric guitar. Unlike other tribute bands of the same nature, all members of the Rave-Ons are in their twenties, and give their shows a youthful energy and exuberance that cannot be matched.

Mosty recently, they have starred in a concert celebration featuring the music of Buddy, Ritchie Valens, and The Big Bopper entitled THE NIGHT THE MUSIC LIVED at the iconic BB King Blues Club in New York City. The show commemorates their final concert in Clear Lake, Iowa on February 2nd, 1959, and is also available for booking. Using information gathered from documentaries, books, and the memories of musicians at the show, Buddy's last concert is re-created with the upmost attention to detail and accuracy. Along with the main four members of The Rave-Ons, the show features a horn section, keyboard player, and impersonators of Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper.
