A Vision of HOPE

Artistic Director Stéphane Vachon, a creative Canadian professional figure skater, visual artist and choreographer, is joined by a cast of 14 highly talented skating artists and 5 children from across the country in this innovative and modern multi-media show that transcends cultures and borders in its vision of the world as a global village. The expression of self through individual and collective experiences for the good of all is at the heart of the vision of HOPE. The threat of nuclear war, pollution and poverty is transformed into respect, caring, peace… HOPE. As the stars perform on ice through ballet dancing and acrobatic art, the story unfolds on giant screen with Jeffrey A’ Hearn’s Male Gods with multimedia projection and live performances by mezzo-soprano Kristin Hoff and pianist composer Antoine Joubert.

With HOPE, Stéphane Vachon wants to express the HOPE of a new world utilizing multi-media arts. He says, "HOPE means using all your resources for the greater good only if we unite our forces and talents all together is a better future possible". HOPE is a journey of Stéphane Vachon's experiences, people who have influenced him and friends that came along on his creative journey. Deciding to not just express a new vision with the arts and figure skating, Stéphane Vachon is contributing in a positive way by expressing himself and touching other people's hearts deeply.
