Ladies In Blue
-LADIES IN BLUE-

The Paris-based vocal group Ladies in Blue is composed of 3 renowned jazz performers from America, Italy and Morocco.

Each of their concerts highlights their unique voices and offers you a moment of class and elegance.

The ladies all possess voices with their very own trademark sound. Crystal Night - the sparkling one, Nesrine Ghalmi - the sultry one and Lisa Spada - the smoky one.

Individual Biographies:

Lisa Spada

Lisa Spada is the lead singer of the electro-soul band “Third Shot.” A self-taught chanteuse, Rhythm & Blues and soul are her main influences.

Over the past few years, she's been involved in several musical projects of various genres, such as gospel (Gospel pour 100 voix), electronic music (175 Workshop, Third Shot), jazz (Les Filles Swinguent) and soul (Butterscotch). She is an artist who cultivated her identity both on stage and in the studio, taking part in a few projects for different artists (Nedjma) as well as her own (Third Shot).

Lisa is currently the artistic director of a cultural initiative, Let’s Get Together, uniting over 20 of France’s most notable R&B and jazz artists on one stage.

Crystal Night

Crystal Night is an American in Paris. This singer-songwriter grew up in a musically diverse household and made her singing debut in the Baptist church as a child.

With an impressive resume that spans over ten years, Crystal has worked with numerous artists of various genres (Van Hunt: R&B, Nicole of the Pussycat Dolls: Pop, Gwen McCrae: Funk, Tunde Jegede: Classical) and has played in several world-renowned venues (10 Room in London, Café Wha in NYC, Zebra Jazz Club in Tallinn, Le Sunset, La Maroquinerie and le New Morning in Paris).

She is also a regular on the jazz festival circuit, notably at Jazz ŕ Viennes, Jazz Sous Les Pommiers and the Greece World Music Festival. Crystal is a determined, elegant, and instinctive woman who was born to make music.

Nesrine Ghalmi

Nesrine Ghalmi began her career in her hometown of Paris, where she quickly became a vital part of several jazz and soul groups.

Throughout her childhood, she marveled at the inimitable voices of Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, Donny Hathaway and Aretha Franklin. The influence of these great singers coupled with the unique flavors of her Moroccan origins helped shape Nesrine’s easily recognizable voice.

Her unique voice and hard work led to some beautiful collaborations throughout her career, notably with Grégory Privat, a jazz pianist with whom she is currently making an album and the famous gospel choir, Gospel pour 100 Voix, directed by Ms. Linda Lee Hopkins.

Nesrine has performed in many legendary Parisian venues such as Bercy, L’Olympia, and the New Morning. A gifted singer and very ambitious lady, Nesrine is undoubtedly on the road to a very long musical career.
