Dominique Immora
Called "a one woman Cirque du Soleil" by the Boston Phoenix, Dominique, a Boston area native, is one of the longest running fire acts in the northeast. After getting her start learning the art of poi from multinational performers, she has devoted her time to a broad range of variety skills including hula hooping, fire eating, fire breathing, burlesque dancing, stilt walking,poi and staff spinning, whip cracking and most recently aerial hoop. Dominique has been featured three times on the world-wide fire spinning competition Circles of Light and won Best Solo at the 2007 Great Boston Burlesque Expo. A former high school teacher, she organizes the classes for the bi-annual performing artists' training retreat, Wildfire, as well as teaches her arts to the community at large. She has her solo project, www.dominiqueimmora.com, as well as the fire troupe she founded, www.draconik.com.
