Griff & John's Afterhours Experience
We're a two-piece acoustic act in which I cover guitar and vocals, and Craig 'Griff' Griffith, of The Verve Pipe, Kung Fu Diesel, formerly of Botfly, etc. on harmonica and vocals. Griff has also performed with acts such as Larry McCray, G Love and Special Sauce, Villebillies, Jimmy Stagger Band, many more. We've been friends for years and together as a musical duo for about 10 months, playing all over Michigan 5-6 days a week and are starting to hit the Northern MI scene. We aren't your typical 'mellow-sitting-on-stools' acoustic act, but rather a very high energy unit, with much interaction with the audience, as well as plenty of comic relief thrown in. Although we know how to entertain a dinner crowd when necessary, our show is more like a party than a boring dry performance. Fun for all... Our material consists of mainly 70's blues/rock, with a few more current selections, as well as many original tunes. We've been told by bar owners on many occasions that it's the perfect middle ground in-between a full band and an acoustic act. Thanks again for your time.
