Sarafina is a talented young soul singer/songwriter and pianist. If you are looking for classy entertainment, with melodies that soothe the spirit and lyrics that pierce the heart, it is the music of Sarafina you seek. A southern belle by definition, Sarafina expresses her music and message like no other through song and lyric. Born in 1988, in Newnan, GA, Sarafina has spent the majority of her life in Fayetteville, GA. She has been featured in several plays, including “Phantom of the Opera”, and the extraordinary choreopoem by Ntozake Shange “For Colored Girls Who have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow is Enuf”. An acclaimed poet, Sarafina was featured in Turner South’s “My South Speaks” campaign, also claiming the 1st runner up position along with a cash prize in the competition. Still, Sarafina is most known for her beautiful singing voice, soulful and sympathetic lyrics, and musicianship. She accompanies herself for most performances, using either a piano or guitar as her instrument. Sarafina continues her pursuit of musical genius and spiritual peace even now, as you read.
