What do you do when you donīt have the means to do what you need to do? You go and try to do it. Somehow. Anyhow. Thatīs what life in an undeveloped third world country is all about. The beating heart inside ELEMENTAL: The need over the means. We are a percussion-based, vocal oriented, visually choreographic group which pushes towards working with what you donīt have. In the age of technology: blood, sweat and bottles, cans, water, PVC tubes, thermos, cups, glasses, invented instruments and our own bodies, blown, percuted, beaten, rubbed, shaken or scraped on stage. Performing Jazz standards, tangos, argentine folk songs, musiclized poems in latin, quechua, japanese, english or boricua through a unique and original palette of sounds. Lighting the space so that what you see is only a part of what there is. Un-showing it with devices made by us. The creation of art with what is left.
