As a lad in Oklahoma, Brian played in numerous bands, often composing many of the original songs himself. By the age of 16, he was in the number one band in Oklahoma, as voted by JAM Magazine. The two years following brought the same accolades with his follow-up bands. Yearning for greener pastures, Brian moved to Southern California, where he has been entertaining ever since. Always the performer, the year 2000 found B.L.J. (as his friends call him.) traveling the country with the Radio Disney Band, and the self penned 'Don't Come Back Cryin' To Me' on the popular daytime soap All My Children. The following year he spent trying to find the perfect line-up to create his Misfit Cowboys. 2004 found the band the winner of the OCMAs (Orange County Music Awards) best country band, as well as the Colgate Country Showdown National Talent Search, California state finalist. 2005 and 2006 found his original song, My Old friend Whiskey, all over Armed Forces Radio, entertaining the troops and helping in his own way to keep their spirits up while they protect our country and keep us safe! The band also shot a video for their song If I Was Elvis. So far, 2007 has brought Brian some notoriety in the film industry with two of his original tunes (I Wanna Be The One and (Dont Come Back) Cryin To Me) in the Lions Gate Films release of the Indie horror flick, Penny Dreadful. The year also finds Brian and the Misfit Cowboys expanding their horizons a bit with the addition of their first full time female member, bassist Debbie Duschel. A definite welcome addition to the band. Work on a new studio CD or two is in the plans as soon as time allows. Not too shabby!

He is ever the free spirit, and always up for a good/fun/wild time. He is neither Angel nor Devil, but wears his halo somewhere around his waist like a belt. He is a good man with a boy's sense of wonder and awe at the world and life around him. Taking it all in to create the music he does.
