Originally formed in 2004 guitarist, Bobby Angel, drummer, Darren Lantello, bassist, Angelo Barbera, keyboardist, Rob Black, guitarist, Keith Simmonds, and lead vocalist, Jack Brand bobby and the angels offers top notch 50's 60's pop musical performances. having played in the u.s the u.k and japan.
Bobby Angel has lived two dangerous lives, one as a top market morning radio jock (LA & Sacramento) and the other as a versatile lead guitarist. Born and raised in NYC, Bobby was greatly inspired by his prominent musical family; his Mom and Dad having headlined their own orchestra, notably entertaining foreign dignitaries for Presidents Kennedy, Nixon, Ford and Reagan.
Darren Lantello is the heartbeat of the group. As one major record producer put it, "I always wished for a simple steady drummer like Charlie Watts or Ringo Starr...Now, I've got one, Darren Lantello". When Darren was asked, what makes a competent drummer? He said, "learning the fundamentals and playing mega hours of tight rolls in the high school marching band".
Angelo Barbera has played bass with such acts as the doors the motels berlin and lita ford to name a few...
Rob Black is one fantastic keyboardist, but also funny as hell...Sometimes the band's gotta hold him back from breaking full tilt into his stand-up comedy act or they never get around to the music...Rob comes to us from Sacramento, California and has toured the USA many times and is always known to create some musical excitement.
Keith Simmonds, a New Jerseyite entered the music biz as a trombonist featured in some prestigious horn sections. Things changed when he held a classic electric guitar in his arms and fell in love. He speaks "advanced music technology" fluently and so communicates with the engineering staff at the band's many venues. He also is a excellent idea-man and creative writer.
Lead vocalist, Jack Brand is the band's eye candy, one handsome guy who not only sings with skill, conviction and soul, but also does professional acting with these same exciting attributes. Yes, when Jack isn't rockin' the room, he's a popular screen and stage performer with quite a respectable resume. Everybody loved him lots on TV's "The Bold and the Beautiful".
These talented musicians are Bobby and the Angels...Well...except sometimes there's a little devil in everybody.
