Keith Hernandez began his 17-year baseball career playing with the St. Louis Cardinals, where he won the National League’s Most Valuable Player Award. After leaving the Cardinals, Keith joined the New York Mets and helped lead them to a World Series Championship in 1986. He was also recognized as a six-time All-Star, with eleven consecutive Golden Gloves for fielding. He appeared on Seinfeld as a featured guest in one of the highest rated episodes of that season. Keith has also pursued writing projects such as Pure Baseball, a pitch-by-pitch analysis for the advanced fan, which was published in 1994. Keith participated in the 1996 Great American Smokeout and has continued to live smoke-free.
