Susan Loewenberg is the founder and Producing Director of L.A. Theatre Works, a non-profit radio and theatre organization working with such performers as Julie Harris, Annette Bening, Richard Dreyfuss, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jason Robards, Walter Matthau, Alan Alda, and John Lithgow. For twenty-five years, she has produced award-winning radio dramas and plays in Los Angeles, New York, and London by noteable playwrights.
The L.A. Theatre Works catalogue is the largest collection of classic and contemporary plays in the United States-- over 250 recordings of plays, musicals, novels, and docudramas on cassette and CD. A collaboration among The Smithsonian Associates, Voice of America, and America's leading theatres, RADIO THEATRE LIVE records plays and dramas for later broadcast over Voice of America and Public Radio in 52 countries. Ms. Loewenberg has served on the Board for the National Endowment for the Arts.
