Bob Johansen leads the Institute for the Future's program on new information technologies and is a research affiliate at MIT in the Centers for Information Systems Research and Coordination Science. Drawing on over 20 years of experience in the fields of telecommunications and computing, Johansen focuses on needs assessment, evaluation of new business opportunities, pilot testing, and market forecasting. He is a frequent keynote speaker on topics relating to emerging information systems and one of the world's leading experts on groupware and related technologies. Much of Johansen's current work focuses on computer-supported collaboration, the results of which are published in Groupware: Computer Support for Business Teams and Leading Business Teams.
