Perry Smith is a noted author, speaker, and television analyst for CNN. A retired major general, Smith commanded an F-15 wing, was the top Air Force planner, and headed the National War College where he taught courses on executive leadership and strategic planning. He is president of his own management consulting firm and has recently conducted seminars on leadership, strategic planning, and ethics for Harvard's Kennedy School, Century 21, UPS, Ford, Milliken, IBM, The Chautauqua Institution, Texas Instruments, and Caterpillar. He is the author of five books, including Taking Charge, which has more than 150,000 copies in print.
