A nationally recognized artist, former aide to President Ford, TV producer and recognized leader in the effort to bring awareness to the cause of HIV/AIDS. She won the heart of the nation when she adressed the 1992 Republican National Convention. By going public with her HIV-status, Fisher has joined the effort to increase recognition of AIDS and concern for families most affected by it. She is the founder of the Family AIDS Network, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing AIDS awareness on a national level and the author of Sleeping With The Angels.
