What goals are we trying to reach? What keeps us from reaching them? Having trouble taking that first step? Feel paralyzed? Just don’t know how to get started? Kate Adamson will show us how to overcome the paralysis that keeps us from moving to our next level of accomplishment as individuals and organizations. How can a simple housewife tell giant corporations, government organizations, churches and schools how to succeed? By simplifying the issues – by focusing on what we want, not what we don’t want; and on what we can do, not on what we can’t. Kate Adamson survived one-in-a-million odds overcoming total paralysis from a devastating double brainstem stroke. That stroke left her in a condition called “Locked in Syndrome.” That means she was totally and completely paralyzed. She could not move a finger or a toe. She couldn’t swallow, talk, or move anything but her eyes. She could only communicate by blinking out signals. Kate could only think and blink. That is all she could do – but she could do that. With that beginning, she accomplished more in the past few years than most accomplish in a lifetime. A member of the USC Department of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy Board of Counselors, and a board member of the Stroke Association of California, Kate is a national speaker for the American Heart Association, the American Stroke Association and the United Way. Published author of the book Kate’s Journey; Triumph over Tragedy, her amazing, inspirational story has been featured in numerous magazines, Redbook, Vim & Vigor, Caregiver, Keeping Well, The Female Patient, etc. She has been featured on local and national radio and television programs such as Larry King Live, The Bill O’Reilly Factor, The Abrams Report, Fox News, MSNBC, ABC and NBC. Once unable to speak a single word, she is now a member of National Speakers Association (NSA), delivering speeches across the nation inspiring corporations, churches, schools, and government organizations to overcome personal, spiritual and organizational paralysis and break through any barrier to accomplishing any worthy goal. The deep soul shifting lessons and simple techniques of achievement Kate Adamson learned as she fought her way through the dark tunnel of total paralysis to the productive life she leads today are a model for any company or individual who feels paralyzed in trying to move to the next level of accomplishment. Ladies and gentlemen, help me welcome Kate Adamson.
