James R. Ball, president and co-founder, was previously the managing partner and co-founder of Venture America, a venture capital firm that provided seed and early stage capital to launch and develop twenty-three new businesses including The Discovery Channel. Prior to that, Jim was the managing partner of Arthur Andersen's office in McLean, Virginia that served high technology and rapid growth firms. He also was in charge of Andersen's Professional Education Division and was on the firm's Profit Improvement Practice team for the Washington metropolitan area. He has been an adjunct faculty member at George Mason University and he is the author of DNA Leadership through Goal-Driven Management, Soar . . .If You DareŽ, and The Entrepreneur's Tool Kit. Jim is a graduate of Youngstown State University.
