Jane Bryant Quinn is the nation's leading commentator on personal finance, with books and columns read by millions. She is an award-winning Newsweek columnist, writing on issues affecting personal finance, and a newspaper columnist for the New York Daily News.

Her twice-weekly column is syndicated by The Washington Post Writers Group to more than 250 newspapers. In addition, she writes a "Money Facts" column for every issue of Woman's Day Magazine.

She is author of the best-seller Making the Most of Your Money, a comprehensive guide to planning your personal finances, published by Simon & Schuster (1991), and a Book-of-the-Month Club selection. Her most recent book, A Hole in the Market, published by Whittle Books (1994) tracks what effects Generation X ("the Baby Busters") will have on the economy.

Everyone's Money Book, her first book, published in 1978, was also a best- seller and Book-of-the-Month Club selection.

As a TV personality, Jane Bryant Quinn worked ten years for CBS news, first on the CBS Morning News, then on the Evening News with Dan Rather. In 1988, she hosted her own program on personal finance, a series called "Take Charge!" that ran on the Public Broadcasting System. She appeared twice weekly on ABC's The Home Show, 1990-91, and is a guest on Good Morning America, Nightline and other programs.

Named by the World Almanac as one of the 25 most influential women in the United States, she is a frequent speaker and panelist at business conventions and universities. She is a spokesperson to all generations on how to handle their money and how to protect themselves in difficult times.

Jane Bryant Quinn has received numerous awards, including: Emmy for outstanding coverage of news on television. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Middlebury College in Vermont, where she now serves as trustee. She is married to David Quinn, a lawyer. They have five children.
