Syndicated columnist Jack Germond, a regular panelist on The McLaughlin Group, has covered national politics since the presidential election of 1960 pitting John F. Kennedy against Richard Nixon. His column, "Politics Today," is syndicated by the Chicago Tribune syndicate. He is the co-author of: Blue Smoke & Mirrors: How Reagan Won the White House; Wake Us When It's Over: Presidential Politics of 1984; Whose Broad Stripes and Bright Stars?: The Trivial Pursuit of the Presidency 1988; and Mad As Hell: Revolt at the Ballot Box 1992. Mr. Germond is also a political analyst for CNN, a weekly contributor to the National Journal, and a Washington correspondent for the Baltimore Evening Sun.
