David Pearce Snyder is Life-Styles Editor of The Futurist magazine and a pioneer social forecaster whose seminars on strategic management and decision-making have been attended by representatives from most Fortune 500 companies. Before entering full-time practice as a consulting futurist in 1981, Mr. Snyder was Senior Planning Officer for the U.S. Internal Revenue Service where he designed and managed the IRS's Strategic Planning Systems.

A former consultant to the RAND Corporation, Mr. Snyder also served an instructor for the Federal Executive Institute and for Congressional and White House staff development programs. Since leaving the Federal Government, he has worked with hundreds of U.S. trade and professional associations and with nearly 200 national, state and local education organizations. His private sector clients have included IBM, Ameritech, Exxon, Taco Bell, Walgreen, McDonnell Douglas Corporation, General Electric, and the Dayton-Hudson Corporation.

In great demand as both a speaker and writer, Mr. Snyder has published over 100 articles, studies and reports on the future of U.S. institutions, industries and professions and on the socioeconomic impacts of new technologies. He is the editor and co-author of four books, including Future Forces. Its sequel, America in the 1990's, was released in 1992.

Mr. Snyder's presentations can range from addresses to illustrated lectures to workshops depending on your needs.
