Bill Ringle founded StarComm Development, Inc. (StarComm) in 1989 and currently serves as Managing Director. StarComm is an Internet consulting firm which provides Fortune 500 firms, educational institutions, and professional associations with strategic technology planning, consulting, customized training/education, and development services.

StarComm's Internet development division designs, develops, hosts and markets web sites for business-to-business transactions, specializing in the areas of online collaboration, marketing, learning, and productivity.

Bill has shown thousands of people across the United States how to use technology to learn and work more effectively.

Prior to his current position with StarComm, Bill developed and delivered technical training programs, researched and reported on industry trends at national conferences, and created leading edge technology demonstrations as Internet Program Manager of Worldwide Training for Apple Computer. Before that, Bill coordinated training and consulting services for 13,000 administrative and academic users at Drexel University, where he also served as the lead technical liaison between the University and Adobe, Apple Computer, Claris/FileMaker, Microsoft, Radius, and Symantec. He also researched, created, and taught graduate courses in the College of Information Science and Technology.

Bill is an active member of the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD)and the National Speakers Association (NSA). Bill presented at NSA's Technology Skills Lab, has served as editor of the Technology Corner of Professional Speaker magazine (1998-2000), and is chair of the Technology Advisory Board.

In 1995, McGraw Hill/Osborne published LAN Times Guide to Telephony. Bill contributed writing, research, and review to this telecommunications and networking reference book for MIS mangers, phone system administrators, and programmers. The book was skillfully edited by the indomitable David Bezar.

In 1997, Allyn & Bacon released TechEdge: Using Computers to Present and Persuade. It won acclaim from both Toastmasters International and the National Speakers Association. TechEdge is the "how to" book for using technology as a speaker, and is part of the 10-volume The Essence of Public Speaking series, masterfully edited by Bill Thompson.
