Debi Derryberry

Debi Derryberry was born and raised in the quiet desert community of Indio, California. In high school she excelled, serving as captain of the gymnastics team and on the student council. Soon after graduating from UCLA as a pre-med candidate, Debi switched careers and obtained her real estate sales license. After having explored two diverse career options but still not creatively fulfilled, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee to explore the world of country music. After three years in Music City, she returned to Los Angeles to launch what has become a very successful voice-over career.

Her most recent feature work includes the voice of "Jimmy Neutron" in the Paramount/Nickelodeon, Academy nominated animated film, "Jimmy Neutron-Boy Genius", “Ice Age 2” and Disney’s upcoming “The Wild”. She can also be heard in the animated hits "Lady &The Tramp II", "Charlotte's Web II" and "Kiki's Delivery Service".Some of her more prominent T.V. work includes “Clay”, the host of Playhouse Disney, "Oswald the Octopus", “Zatch Bell”, "ChalkZone", "Tenchi Muyo", "Crash Bandicoots", "Fillmore", "Bobby's World", the Emmy-winning "Life with Louie", "The Adams Family", "Tazmania", the voice of Mattel's hugely popular DivaStarz interactive doll "Alexa" and the upcoming series “Curious George”.

As an on-camera actress, Derryberry's credits include the features "Ghostworld", "Comic Book the Movie and"Free Willy" (yes, Debi was the stunt double who actually rode the whale). She has guest-starred on "Party of Five", "Laurie Hill", "Get a Life", "Archie" and as "Skeeter", the boy clown, on the children's show "Hey Vern, It's Ernest"!

When Debi was only 9 years old, she got her first guitar and wrote, “My Dog’s My Buddy”, which is one of the songs on Debi’s brand new children’s cd of her original childen’s songs. The Cd is entitiled “What A Way to Play”.

Debi was a member of her Country band “Honey Pig” for the past 6 years (www.honeypig.com) and wrote and produced most of the songs on their CD’s “Exactly As We Are” and “Clueless You”. Honey Pig was voted in the top 100 Los Angeles bands for 3 years running. They sang at The Dodgers, The Lakers and even had a song on “Car Talk” on NPR.

As a result of her deep love for animals, Debi has became an animal rescue activist and serves as a valuable resource for others who need help with information regarding spaying and neutering, financial aid, behavioral problems and rescue.

If that is not enough Debi is the mother of a 5 year old and balances the demands of motherhood and her acting career. In addition, Debi is a member of the SAG Animation Negotiating Committee.
