Miles Jaye Davis
This classically-trained violinist has produced chart-topping hits ranging from R&B to contemporary jazz, partnering with other musical giants, including Grover Washington, Jr., Roy Ayers, George Duke, Branford Marsalis and Nat Adderly, Jr. A native New Yorker, Miles was named after the legendary jazz trumpeter, Miles Davis. After serving five years in the United States Air Force, Miles returned home and began impressing audiences while performing with jazz guitarist Eric Gale and songstress Phyllis Hyman. Then he was off for a 2-year stint as the lead singing Cop for the world-renowned Village People. Miles’ big break came when he was discovered by R&B singing sensation, Teddy Pendergrass. He later went on to produce the certified Gold CD, Joy, for his mentor. As if his musical talents were not impressive enough, Miles is also making his mark in several other arenas. In addition to his latest CD, Humanity, Miles has published his first novel, Margerette, and is preparing his musical stage play, I’ve Been a Fool For You, for national tour.
