In 1995, Lenny released the highly successful album Present Tense. This recording featured an all-star line up including Chick Corea, John Scofield, Marcus Miller, Bernard Wright, Kenny Garrett, and more, with the highlighted "Who Do You Love?" featuring Chaka Kahn. This recording, along with his production of the critically acclaimed Blue Note recording by Rachelle Farrell, First Instrument, accents the versatility of an artist who for three decades has been on the cutting edge of jazz, fusion, and R&B music.

Since this release, Lenny White has been very busy in the studio. Besides producing the first four titles from The Essence All-Stars Series and his second solo album for Hip Bop, he has also just completed producing the next Warner Brothers release for trumpeter, Wallace Roney.
