Impact
Impact toured almost constantly for several years opening up for major recording artist such as Head East, Steppenwolf, Rick Derringer, Huey Lewis and the News, The Spencer Davis Group, Savoy Brown, Point Blank, Krokus, Goddo, Lita Ford, Vixen, Frankie and the Knockouts, Vince Vance and the Valiants, The Plasmatics, Dave Edmonds, and Iron Butter Fly. After about seven years, Impact disbanded in 1984, Until late 1994, four of the members of Impact, Brad , Randy , Scott and Michael got together again to play for Scott's High School reunion. It was apparent that the chemistry that made Impact such a success back then was still there, but there was one missing ingredient; the soaring lead vocals that were the trademark of the great bands of that time like Journey, Foreigner, Boston, and Loverboy. Entered Damien , who was singing Karaoke one night in a club where Michael was working as a DJ. He brought down the house with a rendition of "Carry on My Wayward Son" by Kansas. Michael arranged for Damien to meet the rest of the band, and so the second incarnation of Impact was born. Judging by the renewed popularity of 80's classic rock, Impact's timing to reform as a group couldn't have been any better | ||||||||
