In every sense, a lot of time, care and emotion was put into the latest release by Baillie & The Boys, titled Lovin Every Minute, to make the record what it should be - a representation of where the group is today. From the distinctive vocal work that has constantly defined their musical direction to the power of the albums songwriting, Lovin Every Minute, was certainly a labor of love for Kathie Baillie, Michael Bonagura and Roger McVay.

Not many duos have stuck together as long as Kathie and Michael yet they have existed as a team since 1973 in several different fashions: best friends, husband and wife, mother and father, and as co-workers. The two New Jersey-natives met while Michael was attending the University of Delaware on a football scholarship and performing at local clubs on the weekends. Kathie was working as secretary dreaming of "making it" in Nashville, so, with similar aspirations, Michael called Kathie upon a friends suggestion. Since that first date, the two have never looked back.

Roger McVay, on the other hand, was born in Rockford, Illinois. He was raised on Baptist beliefs and gospel music, having sung with his family in churches around the midwest. With his induction into the group, McVay brought a solid voice that blends perfectly with Kathie and Michael to create breathtaking, three-part harmonies on stage. On Rogers membership in the group, Kathie affectionately states "Roger is like a brother. He injects a sense of inspiration and comedy into the group."

Lovin Every Minute speaks volumes of the fun, love and musical diversity that the trio shares. With Kathies folk and pop background, Michaels penchant for English rock and blues from groups like the Beatles and Ten Years After and Rogers Christian and Gospel music heritage, the group has crafted a multitude of styles within a framework that allows their quintessential vocals to come to the fore. In fact, Kathie and Michaels vocal work got its professional start through commercial jingles for companies like Ford, Pepsi and Burger King and recordings by several, different artists, including Randy Travis, Dan Seals, Vince Gill, Travis Tritt and , most interestingly, New Yorks premier punk outfit, The Ramones.

Baillie & The Boys also recognize Lovin Every Minute as a return to their early sound, which initially attracted the attention of RCA President Joe Galante, who signed them promptly after a quick audition. Their self-titled, debut album, released in September 1987, received rave reviews, spawning the Top 10 hit "Oh Heart" and getting them a gig as the openers for George Strait. Their sophomore release, Turn The Tide, contained the hits "She Deserves You" and "Longshot," the latter of which crested in the Top 5 and remained on the charts for an amazing six months. Country music fans recognized the group in these early days for its vocal prowess, a facet of Baillie & The Boys that defines the uniqueness of their latest compositions.

After a long hiatus from the studio, however, the group has returned with Lovin Every Minute. According to Kathie, "This record is where we have been trying to be for the past four years. It is a combination of songs that we have kept and have wanted to put out, but have not had the chance to until now." The trio will also be taking their new songs back on the road in support of the new release. "The album is greater than the parts," says Michael. "I think it rocks out with an edge and a difference... very earthy and emotional."
