Widely regarded as Israel's best rock export since Minimal Compact, Rockfour’s signature sound is a tightly knit mesh of guitar driven drums-bass-vocal harmony that hints at Love, the Beatles and the Byrds. Rockfour burst onto the world scene in 2000 with the release of its first English-language record Supermarket on Earsay Records, an internationally acclaimed debut which was selected by Rolling Stone music critic Richie Unterberger as one of his ten favorite albums of that year.

The release of Rockfour's second album in 2001, One Fantastic Day, also garnered accolades from top media outlets such as NPR, The New York Times, Rolling Stone and The Los Angeles Times (which dubbed it a "world-class band flexing its musical muscles."). Opening for other bands like Dave Matthews, the B-52s and Blondie, together with appearances at festivals like International Pop Overthrow, SXSW and CMJ Music Marathon, has helped seal Rockfour's reputation as "one of the most explosive live bands in the world" ( After its first appearance at CMJ in 2001, Rockfour was immediately signed to the renowned American guitar-pop label Rainbow Quartz and subsequently released two more albums: the break-through 'Another Beginning' (2002) and the follow-up 'Nationwide' in 2004 recorded in Detroit with producer Jim Diamond (The White Stripes) in 2004.

Memories of the Never Happened marks Rockfour’s first release at AnovA Music and the debut of their new lineup! The album, recorded in San Diego at Earthling Studios and co-produced by Chris Berens and band members Baruch Ben Izhak and Marc Lazare includes 11 energy-packed tracks mixed with vaulting jams and melodic harmonies. The CD will be distributed by Cooking Vinyl USA and will hit the streets on October 9th 2008.

Rockfour are the winners the CMJ/Zig Zag Local Band competition,Nov 2006.

The band recently concluded a mini-tour of North America (booking by The Agency Group) that included sold-out shows at SxSW and Canadian Music Week.

In March 2007 Rockfour was chosen by David Gilmour, David Bowie and Richard Wright as the winners of the Arnold Layne Cover song Competition in honor of the late Syd Barrett. The prize brought the band a new logo by Storm Thorgensen of Pink Floyd Album artwork fame- and a day at Abbey Road Studios, London. On June 4th the band had a remarkable recording session in Studio 2 with sound engineer Chris Bolster who’s resume includes U2, Coldplay and Travis.
