MIKE HALL - LEAD GUITAR, BACKING VOCAL BLAKE COX - BASS GUITAR, BACKING VOCAL BRYAN RESENDIZ - DRUMS, PERCUSSION MIKE HIMEBAUGH - LEAD VOCALS, RHYTHM GUITAR

No matter where HELLO DAVE plays, audiences can never get enough of their upbeat, energizing rock-n-roll sound. "...Mike Himebaugh's strong lead vocals [have] a totally original sound that cannot be compared to anyone else's in the industry." - Onstage. That, in conjunction with the quality of Mike Hall's guitar playing, the groovy sway in the Rez and Jamie rhythm section lead to a wholly unique sound.

HELLO DAVE's popularity is growing so swiftly that they're now playing near-capacity shows all over the country. The phenomenon began in their hometown of Chicago and follows them everywhere they go. Their live shows are addictive, and the following they've established in the college and club circuit turns the leap into the mainstream into a natural next step. Recently, they've drawn sold-out crowds of 1100 at Lakeview Links in Chicago (3-97), 3200 at the Rainbo in Chicago (1-97), and 750 at the State Armory in Greeley, CO (12-96).

West, their second release on Mountain Records, was produced by Martin Stebbing. It was recorded in Chicago with musical support from such talents as Dave "Max" Crawford and Leddie Garcia of Poi Dog Pondering and Simon Sweet, who did a stint with The Freddy Jones Band. The radio-friendly sound quality of this release is catapulting Hello Dave to the next level.

HELLO DAVE is not to be missed. Their sound demands your attention and their originality earns your respect. All that's missing from their full, satisfying rock - positive - Americana sound is, thankfully, the "...manufactured angst that so many artists seem to find necessary these days" (Dan Taylor, Program Director, KTUN Vail, CO).

The determined grass-roots effort to expose HELLO DAVE to the mainstream is obviously working. No flashy over representation, no musicians with attitudes, and no depression. All are more than welcome in today's overworked music scene. "But lose the idea of tossing this band into that Roots-Pop oasis, they have a sound that is entirely their own." - Friday Morning Quarterback

Regardless of your age or musical persuasion, HELLO DAVE will catch and hold your attention - something that doesn't happen too often with today's music. Take a listen; it's definitely worth your time because, according to the FMQB, "one of Chicago's best kept secrets is about to be let out of the bag."
