Debbie Duschel comes from a family whose musical background defines the term 'American roots'. Her mother toured with Tex Ritter and her father with Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys. Johnny and Jean Duschel also achieved recording and touring success in their own group. Debbie's formative years were spent in the recording studio and on the tour bus. After her father's death, she was raised by her parent's 'extended family' of musicians who took her under their wing and taught her to sing and play guitar and bass. With this supportive background and her natural musical ability, it's no surprise that she would choose to pursue a career in show business.

An accomplished vocalist/bassist, Debbie draws from a wide range of musical influences to create her own soulful singing and playing style. With Rock, Country and Blues roots, she brings a powerful intensity to every song she performs. Some have compared Debbie to Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt and Sherryl Crow, and while their influences are certainly evident, she has gone on to forge her own distinctive approach that is unique unto herself.

While honing her performance skills on the Southern California and Nashville Club circuits, Debbie has shared billings with Kris Kristoferson, Reba McIntyre, Lacy J. Dalton, and Randy Travis. She is also in demand as a studio musician and background vocalist. Her songwriting collaborations have included Wesley Orbison (Roy's son), Craig Wiseman, and musician/writer/producer Fred Sampson (platinum single w/ BOSTON), who also produced her demo CD.
