On June 19, 1950 in San Diego, California, one of the greatest voices in Rock & Roll's history was born. In 1968, Ann graduated from Sammamish High School. In 1970 she joined a local bar band that had been around since 1963. This band which was founded by brothers Mike and Roger Fisher and Steve Fossen, had previously been called Army and White Heart. The Wilson sisters obtained rights from the late '60s/early '70s group Heart (from Florida) to use the name "Heart", and now the band had a name which reflected their image. Ann took up with Mike Fisher when he moved to Vancouver and cast her fortunes with the band. This move was scary for Ann at first, but it would be the move to change her life forever.
