Danny has opened shows for some exceptional acts in his time. People like Rick Nelson, Don McLean, Mary Wilson of the Supremes, Nana Mouskouri, Rolf Harris, Matt Munro, Anthony Newley, Glenn Shorrock and The Little River Band, and Tiny Tim. One of the highlights of Danny's career was sharing the stage with some of Australia's leading entertainers in a personal tribute to Sammy Davis Jr. Although having appeared on "Hey Hey It's Saturday" many times, his performance as Sammy Davis Jr. in full makeup on one such an occasion, absolutely enthralled the studio and national television audience. He has also appeared in full makeup as Bill Cosby at the "Leroy Loggins Luncheon/Roast" for the Variety Club and three full-makeup Prime Ministers at a corporate dinner in Brisbane. Danny has been the Master of Ceremonies for such prestigious events as the launch of Castrol's new products and the Australian Masters Golf Tournament.
But there's nothing like his 'live' act..... a variety of impressions and comedy routines incorporating movie stars, famous singers and politicians. And you must see his legendary send up of the "Twelve Days of Christmas"
Danny McMaster is simply: a very good entertainer. You could call him an impressionist extra ordinaire.
You'll think you're listening to Jack Nicholson, Bill Cosby, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dustin Hoffman, Al Pacino, Clint Eastwood or even The Presidents (past & present), or perhaps cartoon characters like Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd and Goofy. You could be taking a nostalgic trip with John Wayne, Walter Brennan, Marlon Brando or Jimmy Stewart. A highlight of Danny's repertoire is his ability to mimic British international stars Billy Connolly, Sean Connery, John Cleese and Michael Caine.
Perhaps the most outstanding part of the show, in terms of demonstrating an ability to change voices and nuances, he does a medley of famous singers including The Bee Gees, Neil Diamond, Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis, Tom Jones, Julio Iglesias', Bob Dylan dueting with Elvis Presley and Joe Cocker with a very different "You Can Leave Your Hat On". Can you imagine Sylvester Stallone, Rod Stewart and Van Morrison lilting "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You" or Louis Armstrong, Willie Nelson and The Muppets doing "What A Wonderful World"? You'll believe it when you hear it. If he went to a shrink, he'd have to pay a group rate.
Danny has opened shows for some exceptional acts in his time. People like Rick Nelson ("Hello Mary Lou"), Don McLean ("American Pie"), Mary Wilson of the Supremes, jazz singer Nancy Wilson, Broadway legend and songwriter Anthony Newley ("Candy Man", "What Kind Of Fool Am I"), the late Peter Allen ("I Go To Rio"), The Little River Band ("Reminiscing", "Help Is On Its Way"), even Tiny Tim ("Tiptoe Through The Tulips"), "The Big O": Roy Orbison and a host of national and international acts. One of the highlights of Danny's career was sharing the stage with some of Australia's leading entertainers in a personal tribute honoring Sammy Davis Jr. at the Sydney Convention Center for Sam's work with the Variety Club. Meeting one of the all-time greats was truly humbling and inspirational.
With over 20 years experience he has guested on every major television and radio show in Australia. For the past 10 years his voices could be heard on the National Nine Network's "Australia's Funniest Home Video Show". Being part of a team that has kept this show in the nation's Top 15 for those 10 years, riding as high as No.1, he must be doing something right. As testament to his versatility, his voices can be heard on national television and radio commercials for a range of different products and endorsements.
On occasions he has been asked to perform in front of Prime Ministers and Cabinet members from Federal and State levels, as well as large corporations such as airlines, insurance companies, building and brewing companies and sporting organizations of all kinds. At the inaugural "Australian Super Skins Golf Tournament" Danny had the privilege of entertaining among others: international golfers Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, Isao Aoki and Curtis Strange, and Huey Lewis & The News. He has worked at every major casino, hotel and licensed club in the land.
Any corporate convention, seminar, club date, sporting function or celebration of any kind can only be enhanced by the sheer brilliance of one of the world's best impressionists, Danny McMaster.
