The family vocal quartet Royalty is comprised of Kameelah, Kienji, Kiesah, and Khanjo. The three sisters and brother first caught the attention of Warner Bros. Records in the late 80’s. The group released popular records ‘Anyone In Love’ and ‘Baby Gonna Shake’ and received critical acclaim from the Billboard Music Charts. Royalty worked with famed producers, Atlantic Star, Teddy Riley, Full Force, Jodeci and Gerald Levert (R.I.P.). They lent there angelic but strong vocals to the movie soundtrack of Earth Girls Are Easy starring Jeff Goldblum and Gina Davis and to the film Color Purple under the direction of the incomparable Quincy Jones. Royalty exhibits a wide ranging talent, including a cartoon based on their family and a television sitcom produced by Suzanne Depasse of Motown Productions. The family was also featured as singers and dancers in a stage production called Motown Review based on the music of the Temptations, Supremes, and Smoky Robinson. The family recording group later branched their talents in different creative directions.
