Screaming fans. Hit records. Wordwide acclaim. At the height of their illustrious career in the late 1960s, The Royal Guardsmen achieved what most rock groups only dream of. The sextet from Ocala, Florida rose to fame with its smash single, "Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron." The song reached No. 2 on Billboards' Hot 100 chart and went on to sell one million copies, earning it Platinum certifcation with the R.I.A.A,

Subsequent chart-toppers followed, including: "Snoopy's Christmas," "Baby Let's Wait," "The Airplane Song" and "The Return Of The Red Baron."

Today, three of the group's original members remain, as well as guitarist Pat Waddell. Waddell replaced the RG's original guitarist Tom Richards after Richards died of a brain tumor.

The band continues to tour and record and recently released its first-ever live CD, "Beaglemania LIVE!"

The guys also just completed the filming of a documentary about their rise to fame titled "Burned By A Beagle - The True Story Of The Royal Guardsmen."
